The Holy Place

PhotoGrid_1404142457312Scripture: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1).

God is the Almighty, the Most High God. He is our source of security and protection. We can put our trust and hope in Him. We will find hope when we seek His presence and spend quality time with Him.

God is our Protector.  As protector He takes care of the kingdom. He rules and reigns over all.

  • He will shield from injury.
  • He will save from possible loss.
  • He defends from enemies. He is our guard.

Security – Safe, secure, guaranteed seal.

Dwell – Means to live, abide, tarry, stay remain.

Secret Place – Hiding place, a place of covering, a place of shelter and protection.

Abide – Wait, remain stable, fixed. As we abide there we will be able to endure.

Shadow – Gives protection, it is our defense.

When the enemy is seeking those who he may devour we are hidden from the enemy. As we abide under the shadow, in the secret place, the enemy cannot see us. We are safe with God when we remain in the secret place.

“The Lord will never leave us, nor forsake us” (Heb. 13:5).

As we put our hope in God and His word we can believe that He is:

  • Our Security
  • Our Protection
  • Our Refuge
  • Our Fortress
  • Our Deliverer
  • Our Covering
  • Our Shield
  • Our Buckler
  • Our Habitation
  • Our Savior

He safely secures and protect us from:

  • The snare of the fowler.
  • Those that set traps for us.
  • Those who try to set us up to fail.

From noisome pestilence:

  • Sickness
  • Disease
  • Plaques

Terror by night, while we are:

  • Asleep
  • Traveling
  • Working at night

Pestilence that stalk at night. Things that are:

  • Destructive
  • Harmful
  • Immorally contagious or infectious.

Arrows that fly by day, things that cause wounds. Words can cause:

  • Hurt
  • Pain (a wounded spirit).
  • Hopelessness (to give up all hope).
  • Fear

Destruction at noon day. Unexpected tragedies:

  • Death
  • Accidents
  • Adversity.
  • Unforseen events.

Affliction or calamities:

  • Distress and worry
  • Burdens causing pain.
  • Hinders our spiritual growth.

When we are secure and safe we are free from:

  • Fear
  • Danger
  • Insecurity
  • Lack or want.

God keeps us covered with His feathers. In His wings we take refuge. God constantly watches over us at all times.

The secret place is in the presence of the Lord. In His presence is the fullness of joy, confident rest and peace.

Blessings to you!

An amazing breakdown of Psalm 91:1. Safety from a noisome pestilence: sickness, disease and plaques. Print and when those arrows of attract comes your way confess Psalm 91:1 over your life and watch the hand of God move on your behalf.
