Salvation

“Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He came into the world as a human being. He lived a sinless life. When man was born, we were born into a world of sin and needed a Savior (Genesis Chapter 3).

Jesus is the fulfillment of the Law. Therefore, He Sacrificed Himself for the world (John 3:16). He was crucified on a cross, and after three days, he rose from the dead (Luke 24:46-47).

He exchanged His sinless life for all of mankind’s sinful lives. Jesus Christ paid sins debt penalty. Death could not hold him down. And because He conquered death, you can have eternal life — you can know for sure what will happen to your soul after you die” (Romans 7:14; 8:2-17).

What is God’s plan of salvation?

“God’s plan of salvation is the gift of forgiveness, and eternal life can be yours by asking.”

How?

1. Ask for forgiveness of your sin.
2. Believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins to be forgiven.
3. Pray to confess your sin.

Salvation is the free gift of God that you receive by faith in Jesus Christ.

The Bible reads, “If you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

If you believe Romans 10:9-10, 13, the prayer below is an example of how to express your belief.

Father God, I repent of my sins and ask you to forgive me. I believe that Jesus is your son. I believe He died on the cross and rose on the 3rd day. He gave his life in my place so I could have eternal salvation. Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart. I make you my Lord and my Savior. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

If you have prayed this prayer, “Welcome to the family of God!” Your next step is to get connected with the body of Christ by finding a church home. You’re now on your way to living a brighter life in Jesus Christ.
