The Greater One Lives In You

The Greater One Lives In MeScripture: Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4b KJV).

God is incomparably greater and wiser than any enemy. He is incomparably superior in intelligence. God’s power is available to His children, those who are in relationship with Him. Although God’s Word appears to be foolishness to the world’s wisest of men, our simple childlike faith and trust in Him make His most intimate secrets available to us. Regardless of the widespread opinions of men who speak contrary to it, God’s Word is alive, active, and powerful and is available to us.

Believers are complete in Christ. We have received the power of the Holy Spirit, the power to overcome the tricks of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt or harm us. We can quench the fiery darts of the wicked one with the shield of faith. We are more than conquerors through Christ. We are rooted and grounded in God’s Word, approved workman unto God, and need not be ashamed (2 Tim. 2:15). We are strengthened with all might according to His glorious power. We fear not because God has not given us the spirit of fear. We have the mind of Christ, which means our ways of operating line up with His ways. Because we possess the Holy Spirit, we have the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding that the Book of Proverbs speaks of.

Jesus said, “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father” (John 12:14 NIV). He is not saying that our works will be greater than His in terms of power or majesty. Humans cannot surpass God’s superior greatness. Our greater works are done through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our helper. God has given us every resource needed to be successful. We have an anchor for our soul, the Lord Jesus Christ, Who is our immovable source of strength. God has promised to be our strength in times of difficulty, heartache, and brokenness. God’s grace is sufficient; His power is made perfect in weakness. When we are weak, He shows Himself strong (2 Cor. 12:9-10 NIV).

God is greater than any weapon satan can bring against us. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Cor. 10:3-4). The Greek word translated “stronghold” means a fortification such as a castle. The weapons of our warfare are very powerful, and the evidence of truth is convincing. The preaching of the cross by men of faith has always been fatal to idolatry, impiety, and wickedness. Our weapons are not physical, for our warfare is spiritual in nature. Our power comes from God alone. God’s plan is to demolish spiritual strongholds.

As children of God, we are living under the canopy of God’s blessings. God has equipped us with all that we need. The Cross is the greatest statement of love and security. Focus on the Holy Spirit who lives inside you. Immerse yourself in God’s Word, our actions follow what we think. Trust and obey God and watch Him work on your behalf. Ask God to help you visualize His work in your life. Learn to see beyond your circumstances. The Word of God is our guidebook for life. We have been blessed in the heavenly realm with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus.

Bountiful blessings are available for you!
