Today’s Scripture: “Is this not the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Jose, and Judah, and Simon? And are not this sisters here with us?” (Mark 6:3 KJV)
Jesus was the son of a carpenter. It was almost certain that the wood craftsman skills of Joseph was learned by Jesus. The custom in those days among the working class was that a trade be passed down from father to son, often through generations.
The above question asking “who Jesus is,” was made by those who were offended that one who was a carpenter would call himself a prophet and a teacher.
