“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves, a cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:12 NKJV)
Loving Heavenly Father, we come before you transparent because you know our hearts. You know our innermost thoughts, secrets and desires. You know the things that we struggle with as singles that we often don’t voice, but ponder within our hearts.
We ask our Lord that you would encourage our hearts. If we feel broken in anyway, that you would mend our brokenness. That you would fill us with your peace and cast away all anxiety of wanting to rush into a relationship or the desire of wanting to rush to be married strictly out of lust or loneliness. Lord, help us to wait on you. Waiting is never easy, but we know Dear Father that you know at all times what is best for us. Give us a desire to become busy for your kingdom, instead of being busy trying to look out for our mate.
Lord you said that if we seek ye first the kingdom of God and Your righteousness then all these things shall be added unto us. (Matthew 6:3). You O Lord have promised to give us the desires of our heart once we put you first. (Psalms 37:6). We trust and believe Your will for our lives and we know that You will present us with the heart that was created just to love us at the appointed time.
We thank and praise You Oh Lord, for You alone deserve all glory, honor and praise. We trust You for we know that You are not a man that You should lie and Your word cannot return to You void but will accomplish what it was sent forth to do. (Isaiah 55:11). Thank you Lord for helping us to be patient. In Jesus name, we pray amen.
