Full Body Armor Required

The appointed time of your destiny is happening right now! God has chosen this time to strategically position His people for the advancement of His Kingdom. He has placed us in a Kingdom servitude position, and with the assignment comes the opposition. Please note the battle is real and not a mistake; it’s by design.

For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood (contending only with physical opponents), but against the *despotisms, against the powers, against (the master spirits who are) the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere; (Eph. 6:11-12 Amp. Bible).

The word “despotisms,” as written in the Amplified Bible, refers to a country or political system where the ruler holds absolute power, as a dictatorship or tyranny. The scripture is a clue these forces rule on the first level of the heavens. The solar system occupies the second level, comprising the sun, moon, stars, etc. The third heaven is the highest; this is where God’s Kingdom rules.

The scripture also tells us we are not fighting against flesh and blood. But we are in a battle against spiritual forces that are not human beings. Christians are in a war, and the opposing forces that come against us, attack us physically by touching us through our circumstances. The enemy will attack our flesh and family, and he uses materialistic objects that are essential for our survival to strategically defeat us mentally. Therefore, we must be prepared and fully dressed for every battle.

Solution: Take up the whole armor of God so that you can resist the evil day and, having done everything, stand firm.

No soldier goes into battle without the proper equipment. Therefore, we must put on the whole armor of God so that when the day of evil comes, we may be able to stand our ground and, after having done everything to stand, stand firm dressed in our spiritual armor. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; (2nd Cor. 10:4a).

GET DRESSED!

“I am a warrior of God. The LORD Jesus Christ is my Commanding Officer. The Holy Bible is my Code of Conduct; Prayer and the whole armor of God are my weapons of warfare.”

We must put on the whole armor of God (the armor of a heavily armed soldier which God supplies) so that we may be successfully able to stand up against (all) the strategies and the deceits of the devil. Stand firm, therefore, having girded your loins with truth and the breastplate of righteousness. Shod your feet with the gospel of peace, taking the shield of faith which enables us to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

SPIRITUAL WEAPONS – (Eph. 6:14-18)

  1. The Helmet of Salvation – protects your head, mind, and thinking.
  2. The Breastplate of Righteousness – protects the chest area. To include your heart. Protect your heart at all costs. Things take root within the heart. Remember, out of the heart flows the issues of life.
  3. The Belt of Truth is worn around your waist. It is your defense against the lies of the enemy. So gird your loins and speak the truth in the name of Jesus Christ. The belly is where rivers of living water flow.
  4. The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace – prepare your feet with the boots of the gospel of peace.
  5. The Shield of Faith – take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
  6. The Sword of the Spirit -The Sword is the Word of God, your Bible. Various Bible widens the scope of the weapon. The tactics require the believer to capture erroneous thoughts and replace them with the thoughts of God. God’s thoughts are the highest thoughts a man can think. During his wilderness experience with satan, Jesus left us a compelling statement to declare whenever the enemy tries to tempt us; he said, “It is written” (Matt 6). Therefore, it is wise to say what Jesus said regarding the firey darts aimed at the mind.

Additional Weapons Accessible

“Prayer” is the 7th weapon, and it’s powerful! It pushes the enemy back and puts him promptly in his place when you use it. The 7th piece of armor activates all the others.

Prayer, in essence, is the continual dependency upon communion with God our Father. Persistent, incessant, unceasing prayer is an essential part of the Christian life and should flow out of humility and dependence upon God. Prayer should be as natural as breathing. 1st Thessalonians teaches us to pray continually without ceasing. This means that we should always be conscious of God. We should be aware that He is with us and fully active in our lives. Prayer should be our first response to every anxious thought or fearful situation. The door of the Throne Room is always accessible. When we pray, we invite God to get involved. God hears the prayers of the righteous.

#8 “Praise is a weapon that confuses the enemy. The enemy sees your troubles; however, he won’t understand your joy in praising God through the situation. Therefore, always put on the garment of praise for the Spirit of heaviness. Praise will get you through whatever may come your way to trouble your Spirit.

There’s an assignment in the Kingdom that is geared toward every believer. Spiritual gifts are given according to the Lord’s choice to equip for the battle. Then, as we grow in wisdom and knowledge of spiritual matters, God can effectively use us. But, with opportunity, there’s an opponent whose assignment is to stop you from advancing God’s Kingdom, and he’s exceptionally radical about stopping you from making any progress.

THE MOST POWERFUL OF ALL WEAPONS: CALL ON THE NAME OF JESUS!

There’s no other name higher than the name of Jesus. His name is above every name. When we call on the name of Jesus, thing change. There’s power, salvation, and healing in the name of Jesus. One word from Jesus can heal you. Call out to him, and He will answer. His Love never fails.

PRAYER DECLARING VICTORY AGAINST THE ENEMY

Heavenly Father, I put on the whole armor of God with gratitude and praise. You have provided all that is needed to stand victoriously against the enemy of darkness; (Eph. 6:11-13).

With confidence, I put on my spiritual armor. I cover my mind with the helmet of salvation, recognizing that my mind is a target for satan’s deception; (Eph. 6:17).

Father, thank you for the breastplate of righteousness. I embrace that righteousness that is mine by faith in Jesus Christ. I know that I am covered by the shed blood of Jesus Christ; therefore, satan must retreat before the righteousness of God; (Eph. 6:14; Rom. 3:22; 2nd Cor. 5:22).

I gird myself with the belt of truth, and I embrace Him, who is the truth, the Lord Jesus Christ, as my strength and protection. I pray for God’s protection over my home, family, friends, neighbors, and the ministry God has given me. (Eph. 6:14; Ps. 28:7; Ps. 91).

My feet are firmly shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. I claim the peace of God that touches my emotions and feelings through prayer and sanctification; (Eph. 6:15; Phil. 4:6-7).

I eagerly lift up the shield of faith against the blazing missiles fired at me from the enemy. But, father, I know that you are my shield; (Eph. 6:16; Ps. 3:3; Ps. 28:7).

With joy, I lift up the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. I choose to live in its truth and power. Enable me to use Your Word to defend myself wisely against every enemy. Allow me to wield the sword well, to push back the enemy and strategically defeat him; (Eph. 6:17).

Thank You, God, for prayer. Help me to keep my amour well-oiled with prayer. These petitions I present before You in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might; (Eph. 6:10 Amp.).

We’re more than conquerors; we are VICTORIOUS!
