Energized By His Presence

To be energized means to be vitalized, invigorated, and enthused. Something triggers excitement, causing a fresh supply of energy to flow. Well, the Holy Spirit enables, energizes, and gives us understanding. The Power of the Holy Spirit is promised to every believer.

Things That Energize Our Walk With God

Before going to the Cross, Jesus prayed to his Father, asking him to send the Holy Spirit because He knew we needed a helper. Therefore, He briefed the disciples on what they should expect regarding the Holy Spirit. One of the most essential facts that He told them was if He didn’t go away, the comforter could not come. Although they did not know where Jesus was going, they trusted and obeyed his instructions (John 14:16-18).

Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit allows supernatural power to flow. Holy Spirit makes a phenomenal entrance in the Book of Acts, Chapter two. This happened on the day of Pentecost; they were all on one accord in one place. And suddenly, a sound came from heaven as a rushing mighty wind filled the house. There appeared to them cloven tongues like a fire, and it sat upon them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:1-4). He appeared just as Jesus told them he would come.

Hearing God’s Voice

Whenever I hear God’s voice, I am excited, overjoyed, and humbled by His presence. It’s comforting to listen to the voice of the Creator and Ruler of the Universe. After hearing his voice, we can rest assured that everything is in His hands. We experience a sense of gratitude, reverence, and blessed assurance because God is with us. He knows exactly what we’re going through, and he’s aware of our needs. We’re no surprise to Him. Being omniscient, He knows the condition of our hearts and the level of our faith.

Faith Comes By Hearing and Hearing By The Word of God (Romans 10:17).

The entrance of the word gives light and life and informs the simple (Psalms 119:130). When we listen to the word of God, we are moved by what we hear, and it tantalizes and energizes us. For example, the sacrifice that Jesus made for the world and how God knew we needed a Savior should move us with compassion. He suffered, bled, and died an agonizing death in exchange for the life of sinners who didn’t love Him. Our responsibility is to be obedient to His will in sharing the Good News with those who don’t know all that Jesus has done for us. Our struggles fail in comparison to His sacrificial love. (*Read Isaiah 53).

I’m sharing one of the most prolific and influential testimonies ever! The disciples were crossing the sea of Galilee when a tumultuous storm arose. Suddenly they saw a shadow coming towards their boat, and thinking it was a ghost, they feared for their lives. However, Jesus came to them walking on the sea. Peter ever enthusiastic and impulsive, said “Lord, if it’s You, tell me to come to You on the water.” Jesus said, “Come.” The apostle got out of the boat and headed toward Jesus. But when he saw the effects of the wind, he was afraid and he began to sink, he cried “Lord, save me!” (Matthew 14:22-30).
