Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant!

Every man that strives for mastery is temperate in all things. The Bible teaches us that our responsibility as believers is to work uncompromisingly as the Lord leads us and has gifted us. No servant is idle. We must understand that until the Lord returns, there are souls to reach and various ministries to perform. Work done for the Lord and in His power cannot and will not fail to accomplish His will. We should not invest in things that do not contribute to the work of the Lord. Our responsibility lies in fulfilling our assigned duties, whether looking after orphans and widows, giving to the poor, hungry, or naked. Visiting nursing homes and prisons or serving in our workplaces.

Our work has eternal benefits that the Lord Himself guarantees. We have God’s promise that our work is not in vain and that we will receive an inheritance as a reward. The Apostle Paul said, “We do it to obtain an incorruptible crown. It’s called incorruptible because it cannot be corrupted by other things, nor can any corrupt person wear it. This crown will never fade but will last forever and always continue in the same glory and luster.

My eternal hope is to serve Him with a spirit of excellence. Prayerfully I hope that one day I will hear Him say, “Well done my good and faithful servant.” By His grace, I hope to be kneeling before the Lord, in honor of Him placing the crown of life upon my head. What a great honor that will be! All glory to the King of kings and the LORD of lords!

May God richly bless the work of your hands and may all be well with your soul. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
