Scripture: Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (Matthew 11:28 NLT).
Hello Friends,
In this article, I am reaching out to people who are battling an internal war within themselves. Sometimes our feelings overwhelm us and can cause a myriad of inner mixed emotions. We have a tendency to walk in our attitudes and not in God’s Word. Jesus made a promise to all who are weary of carrying heavy loads that they were never designed to hold. Our bodies cannot handle worry, stress, and pain, for very long before we begin to break down.
Lose the extra baggage!
“Truly, I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 16:19 NIV).
Christians have the authority to “Bind and Loose” in the spiritual realm and release heaven on earth. To bind and loose means to declare something forbidden or unlawful. By the power of God, through the Holy Spirit, we’re able to bind the enemy of deception and loose the power of God by faith. In doing so, we can overcome the enemy and live victoriously.
*FEAR
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind;
(2nd Timothy 1:7 KJV).
God did not give us a spirit of fear, does not mean that we won’t feel fearful at times, it means that the spirit of fear didn’t come from God. It was sent by satan to paralyze his victims, and to stop them from walking in their calling. His plan is to stunt your spiritual growth and hinder you in other areas of your life. Don’t let fear control your outcome.
*Solution: “Bind” the spirit of fear and “loose” the spirit of faith. Don’t let fear render you helpless. Take control of what you fear by doing whatever “IT” is that you fear. You can conquer fear by faith. Without faith, it’s impossible to please God; (Hebrew 11:6 NIV).
*Prayer: Father God, we thank You and give You praise for supplying everything we need to face every difficult situation with courage by the power of Your Holy Spirit. 2 Timothy 1:7 (Amp) tells us, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].” May we walk in boldness by faith in Your Word and not by sight or our emotions. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

*PRIDE
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall; (Proverb 16:18).
Pride is a dangerous spirit that stems from self-righteousness or conceit. It’s an inflated state of proudness. A man’s heart is the proudest when his downfall is nearest, for he won’t see glory until the Lord sees humility; (Proverb 18:12).
A person with a haughty spirit tries to take credit for what God has done. He claims the glory that rightfully belongs to God. A prideful person is unaware that he is worshiping himself, and self-worship is idolatry. This person sees himself as a god.
*Solution: First repent of your sins, then “bind” the spirit of pride (haughtiness), and “loose” the spirit of humility; (Proverb 16:18). Give God the glory that only He rightly deserves.
*Prayer: Father God Your Word declares that You oppose the prideful; (Proverb 16:18). Thank you for looking beyond outward appearances and seeing the true condition of a soul. Forgive me for operating in the spirit of pride, I repent of my sins. Grant me the heart of a true worshipper and allow me to present myself as a living sacrifice, created for your glory and for your use. May my public worship match my private worship in faithfulness and truth. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
*ANGER
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me; (Psalm 51:10 NIV).
Abusive behavior, embarrassment, or internal pain can’t be seen externally but is expressed through anger. Past hurts are unforgettable only if you choose to hold on to them. Emotions are internal and not directed against people. Actions are external, and they can be addressed positively or negatively toward others.
Anger can shatter communication and tear apart relationships, and ruin both the joy and health of others. Being angry is not a sin, but it becomes sinful when it’s motivated by pride or when it’s allowed to fester. It’s essential to consider the victim(s) when anger is misplaced. Victims of abuse, violent crime, or criminal acts have been violated in some way. We cannot control how others act or respond, but we can make the appropriate changes on our part.
*Solution: Be slow to anger, in your passion do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold; (Ephesian. 4:26-27 NIV). Overcoming a temper is not accomplished overnight. But through prayer, and reliance upon God’s Holy Spirit, we can overcome anger.
*Prayer: Holy Father, I come before You in faith and with praise. You know me, and You know my heart. You know me well, and all that I have been through, the pain and hurt of mental and physical abuse.
Father, I chose not to hate those who have abused me and not live with a spirit of anger that would cause me to sin or to become bitter and seek revenge and retaliation toward others. Let my anger be only that of righteous indignation. You are my sustainer and the restorer of my soul.
Father, I pray for those who are walking in anger and unforgiveness. I pray for their healing and restoration. Thank You for blessing me with a heart that forgives. This is not something that I could do on my own, but it is your supernatural gift to me. As You forgave me, I forgive them, in Jesus’ Name Amen.
