Pray For The Children

Father, I come before You in the name of Jesus, with a fervent prayer request on behalf of all children. I pray that they will come to understand your love for them. I pray that they will learn to trust you with their hearts and lean not on their own understanding. May they acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Savior and be led by your Holy Spirit.

Father, may every child read your word, study your word, and grow in holiness, righteousness, and wisdom. I pray that they will treasure your word more than material wealth. Teach them to love your word and base their lives on the standards of your word. Give them understanding as they humbly seek You in your word. Teach them to plead your unbreakable promises and defeat all the enemy’s lies with your truth; (Ps.119:127-130; 159-162). Lord God help them to focus on their studies; enable them to comprehend the lessons, so they will pass every test required. Let every child show respect for their teachers, adults, and classmates.

Father, I ask that You would give each child Christ-centered confidence and Christ-centered worth. Teach them to base their identity and security on Christ. Give them Your mindset about how You see them and how you feel about them. Help them to fully know who they are and what they have in Christ and that they can do all things through Him.

I pray in Jesus’ name, asking that each child grow up to become the men and women God predestined them to be, and may they glorify your name. Write your holy word on the hearts of children everywhere so that they will choose obedience and hate sin. Help them not only keep a set of rules but also to desire to please You in all that they do and say.

Father, may the children grow in your grace with a conscious sense of your presence. Make them wise in what is good and shun all evil. May they grow in godly wisdom, favor, truth, love, faith, and strength. May they honor You by keeping their bodies pure because they are living temples of Your Spirit. Teach them the great price Your Son paid in his death for their salvation; (1 Cor. 6:19-20; Rom. 12:1-2).

I pray that Children everywhere will submit to the authorities You have placed over them. Let them understand that you have established loving and wise coverings for their good through parents and leaders; cause them to obey and not rebel against godly authorities; (Rom. 13:1; Eph. 6:1; 3:22-25). Let no weapon formed against them prosper, in Jesus’ Name; (Isa. 54:17).

Lord God, may our children develop godly friendships and righteous companions. Give them friends who are authentic, wholesome, encouraging, and supportive of them in a positive way. Good friends who will pray for one another. Give them the wisdom in choosing relationships that will honor You, Lord God; (Ps. 119:63; John 15:13-14).

I pray this prayer for the sake of all children; may they be safe and protected in every place where their feet tread. Thank You, Father, for hearing my prayer. In the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen
