“I AM HE”

God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelite’s: I AM has sent me to you”; (Ex. 3:14).

Tell them I AM sent me unto you. I AM, assumed as a name, implies an existence different from other existence, “I AM” and there is none beside me”; (Isa. 45:6). God existed before time and He exists independently and unconditionally. When He identified Himself, He stated that no matter when, or where, there is no place that He isn’t there. God is the Alpha and the Omega, the LORD God, who is and was and is to come, the Almighty; (Rev. 1:8). Only God can accurately describe Himself.

Unjust Judgment

Meanwhile, Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews? “You have said so, Jesus replied. When he was accused by the chief priest and the elders, he gave no answer. Then Pilate asked him, “Don’t you hear the testimony they are bringing against you? But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge, to the great amazement of the governor; (Matt. 27:11-14).

So Judas came to the garden, guiding a detachment of soldiers ad some officials from the chief priests and the Pharisees. They were carrying torches, lanterns, and weapons. Jesus Knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, “Who is it you want?” “Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.) When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground; (John 18:3-5).

“WHO DO YOU SAY I AM?” – Jesus

Some say, Elijah, others say, John the Baptist, I say “Jesus is God.”

  1. Thank you so much for this post Jeanie. I’ve often wondered about the different names being used to signify God and the different meanings behind each one. You seem to be able to “read my mind” or know what I need to clear up any imagined confusions. Once more I proclaim that you are spirit driven and anointed to deliver. Thank you.

    1. Haha! Hey Greggy! I am definitely not a mind reader. All of the credit belongs to the Holy Spirit who is the Master Teacher. It blesses me to know that your thirst for spiritual knowledge has been satisfied regarding God’s redemptive names. I thank God for using me to share His Word with His people. You’re very welcome. ^_^
