What Christmas Means To Me

My very first wreath

Greetings and Merry Christmas To You! What a wonderful time of the year!

First, I want to make a personal statement “I believe that pretty much of the world has heard this song “Christmas just ain’t Christmas without the one you love. For me, “Christmas just ain’t Christmas without Christ!” I believe that Christ is the only reason for the season.

The word “Christmas” literally means “Christ’s Mass.” The true meaning of Christmas is love. For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life; (John 3:16 KJV).

For me, Christmas is the most joyous time of the season. It’s a wonderful time for families to unite in the unity of love, joy, and peace. Although we may not enjoy precious moments and fun-filled times all year round, Christmas has a way of providing families with the proper perspectives as to the worth and value of being a part of God’s design for His creation.

One of my favorite holiday moments is seeing my family come together, sharing genuine love, loads of laughter, and joy. I love the gift of peace that accompanies the other gifts; unspeakable peace that surpasses all understanding is a gift from God. True enough, giving, and receiving, and opening gifts are wonderful, but the gift Jesus died to give us is the greatest gift of all gifts.

What I love most about Christmas is the opportunity that it gives us as Christians to introduce Christ and the Gospel message. It’s a vehicle like none other that opens a highway for dialogue that goes in both directions, questions, and answers. It presents an incredible opportunity to give a history lesson about God, creation, eternal life, death, and the resurrection. What an amazing gift to share with the world! The free gift of salvation is the greatest blessing that you can offer someone.

“Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” (2nd Cor. 9:15 NIV)

Last but not least, I’m grateful for YOU! To have loyal supportive followers is a blessing from God. I am truly humbled by your support of Jeanie Shepard Ministries. Thank you for following Jesus with me, and may God continue to bless the work of your hands.

“MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOUR HOUSE FROM MY HOUSE!”
