Heaven Is Our Home

In his early ministry years, John the Baptist preached the Gospel message, “The Kingdom of God is near, Repent!” After John’s arrest, Jesus began His three-year ministry proclaiming the “Good News” of repentance, redemption, and restoration offered by God to all who would receive Him. Those who accepted became a part of His eternal Kingdom; (John 1:12).

The Kingdom of God is the rule of an Eternal Sovereign God over the entire universe; (Ps. 103:19). It’s also a spiritual rule over the hearts and lives of those who willingly submit to God’s authority. Those who receive the Gospel of the Kingdom become citizens of Heaven and are free from the bondage of this world; (Gal. 4:3-9).

We are God’s children and “Ambassadors.”. Just as an earthly “Foreign Ambassador” retains his national identity when representing his country while in another. The spiritual Ambassador of God’s Kingdom represents Him and follows His code of conduct while sojourning on earth.

We are Ambassadors sent from Heaven to resemble God’s love on earth. Christian Ambassadors are biblically described as guides to the blind, the world’s lights, and the earth’s salt. We knowingly obey God’s Will and the truth of the Gospel. We need not conform to this world’s habits, values, and lifestyles because this is not our home; (Rom. 12:1-2; 1st John 2:15-17). Earth is not an eternal resting place; however, Heaven is; (Matt. 24:14).

Jesus made it clear when He said, “My Kingdom is not of this world”; (John 18:36). Those who have been purchased by the blood of Christ have been given the right to live according to God’s value system and not this world’s value system. As a result, we have a kingdom mindset and live our lives furthering the Gospel of the Kingdom. We’re citizens of God’s Kingdom, and we’re on a mission to bring Heaven here on earth; (Matt. 6:10).

The Kingdom of God is within you; (Luke 17:30-31). Essentially, this means that it’s within man’s heart. The Kingdom of God is in the person of Jesus Christ. God’s Will is that no man shall perish but shall come to the saving knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Receive the free gift of eternal life today. (click here)
