Today’s Scripture: Pray Continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thess. 5:17 NIV).

Prayer in essence is the continual dependency upon communion with God our Father. Persistant, incessant, unceasing prayer is an essential part of the Christian life and should flow out of humility and dependency upon God. Prayer should be as natural as breathing. 1 Thess. 5:17, teaches us that we are to pray without ceasing. This means that we are to be conscious of God at all times. We should be aware that He is with us and that he is active in our lives. Prayer should be our first response to every anxious thought or fearful situation. Prayer opens the door for God to work.
